The Summer Sales Myth

The Summer Sales Myth

Summer is the time of year for BBQs, beach days, and selling your home!

In Southwest Florida, a common thought among homeowners is to wait for peak season to put their home on the market, however this can be a dangerous and costly move for many. As Naples becomes less seasonal and more active all year round, homeowners are losing out on the chance to sell with less competition in the marketplace and command a high price.

We all remember back in school, basic economics: the more supply, the lower the price – less supply means a higher price and typically a faster sale. So why do so many grab on to this belief and wait to list? Because it is a real estate myth! Don’t fall in to this trap if you have a desire to sell, whether you are upgrading, downsizing, or considering a new part of town that fits your lifestyle, you could really miss the chance to sell at a higher price and faster.

So, enjoy your BBQs and beach days, but don’t wait to sell. Yes, Season is a busy time of year for all with more snowbirds in town, busier roads, and busier restaurants.  However, the serious buyers come in the shoulder seasons like the summer and fall as they want to purchase and complete renovations and updates prior to the school year starting or season beginning.

So, what are you waiting for? Are you curious about your home value? Are you entertaining the idea of selling, but you are unsure of when is the right time or what competition in your community is trending, we can help. Don’t believe the myths of real estate. Happy, ready and willing buyers are here now and they are looking for a home just like yours.
